2-D painted chandelier for production of

Unsinkable Molly Brown Golden Apple Dinner Theatre

 

Ben Turoff is holding a flat cut out piece of plywood that Karle painted to look dimensional and "gold". She explained that you don't use gold paint to make things look gold you paint them to look shiny, which he didn't comprehend, so she painted two of these one for each side of the set.

 

The paint is flat latex paint. this is technically an example of scenic painting. She also designed & drafted the outline of the chandeliers for him to cut out but the general design was on an elevation by Jan Van Wart, as I recall. Thanks Ben.
