Nothing is more fun than preparing fake food that does not have to be eaten. Perhaps this is left over from years of playing house, making salads out of weeds from the garden, pies out of mud. This plate is entirely inedible, urethane slices for bread, felt cheese, felt ham and roast beef. Olives made of fake green grapes with a bit of red felt for pimento doilies and fancy toothpicks showing off a tray of mouth watering plastic and cotton. Any small ivy can be parsley onstage.
